JHershey's Full Review: Rogue Spear Mission Pack: Urban Operations for Win...
Ever since the first Rainbow Six original game came out, one by one, Red Storm Entertainment has been putting out expansions onto this game. With each expansion that comes out, comes harder Al play, more tactics, more weapons, more cool gear, and most of all, hours and hours of more fun!
There are a few new things about this game, that make it different and more fun than the previous games that have been put out in the Rainbow Six series. First of all, this game is sharp. I have a Voodoo 2 3D accelerator and 160 MB of RAM and this game ran quick and clean. No matter what kinds of maneuvers I was doing on screen, or how many things were going on (which sometimes slows down my other games), this game didn't slip up at all!
Secondly, this game has five all new missions that add to the hours and hours of fun. Unlike the first Rainbow Six game, where the missions were set in places where you (at least I didn't know) didn't know where they were in real life; the new game has actual places for the missions. Istanbul, Mexico City, Hong Kong, London and Venice are the five new missions that have been added, and this game does such a fantastic job of distinguishing the difference between all the different places in which you have your missions.
The last thing that makes this game so much fun, is that it is soooooo hard to win. I constantly found myself having to do the missions over and over again, until I knew where all the hidden traps were (sure it sounds cheap, but in some cases that was what you had to do!). One reason why this game is so hard, is that the terrorists now have many other objects that their disposal to use. They now have the amazing ability of sniper-fire, firing and moving before you know where it is coming from, as well as being well armored making it that much more difficult to kill them.
So, if you are looking for an expansion set to an already amazing game, look no further than Urban Operations for Rainbow Six!
