Snoods are animated cartoon balloons that suspend from the ceiling, a la Tetris, waiting to be shot down. Clear the board and you’ve won the game. Only Snoods isn’t so simple. Points are scored when you fire fellow Snoods from the Snood-O-Matic Cannon in attempts to bring the Snood cloud down.
Snoods transport when they are bunched in matching threesomes or drop like shrapnel when they have no fellow Snoods to cling to. The stakes are increased by the presence of the Danger Bar. For every Snood fired, the danger meter increases to bring the ceiling lower. Scores accumulate based on the number of Snoods transported or dropped. Of course, the score is meaningless if the ceiling of Snoods comes down on you before you can free them.
Snood is a shareware game, recommended to me by Epinion’s member Cligon, that was relatively easy to download.(<1Mb) After a few games I was hooked. Apparently, Snood has a great big following and the creator was even hawking his Snood paraphernalia with pride.
The Snood game board is colored with bright, fluorescent Snoods. The are instantly adorable as they bat their eyelashes at you and stick out their tongues. Little do just what’s in store for them. The game gets wacky and the suspense heightens as you plan your strategic shots. This is a game of patience and skill rather than pure shoot ‘em up.
Snood has eight difficulty levels from which to choose. You can custom create your own games or challenge your scores against other Snood aficionados in online tournaments. This game even comes with a child setting. Hence, fun for the whole family.
Snood isn’t as easy as it looks but ranks high in the fun department. Instantly addictive, but not without frustration, Snood has a bit of a skill curve. A comprehensive scoring system will have you pushing yourself into the night to conquer your own high scores. Warm up to the Snoods - once you get hooked, you’re hooked. A fun way to wile away the time when you aren’t on Epinions site. ;)
