Other than the title statement being overused in the game (makes you long for a "smack the co-pilot" button in the game) this one is great. Quick background, I'm 35 years old and I LIKE VIDEO GAMES. Ok, there I said it.
I have this one on a PII 450 (overclocked somewhat...ok alot) with a VooDoo 3 3000, and an SB Live. Simply put I can find no major fault with the game. I cold nitpick the small stuff on and on..sound stutters, frame skips, ect..ect. Will you get these on your system? Don't know.
I have or have played EVERY flight simulator made, heck I still have a playable copy of MegaFortress on 5 1/4 (that's an old style floppy for you whipper snappers). This one ranks up there with all the best. The missions can be somewhat frustrating at times (it really sucks to be headed home with an empty ship full of holes and get orders to go fight somemore), but thats one of the great things about this one. I play games all the way through before I go to the web sites and read the cheats and guides, so each mission surprises me.
The flight controls are a bit cumbersome and could have been located better i.e. the roll left/right buttons need to be on the left side of the keyboard. The graphics are top notch and flow almost without any flicker at all. The comms while cluttered up (show me any that are not during a fight, real or simulated) are clear, but listen up or you risk blowing the mission. The only draw back here is having to re-live the cut scenes if you have to do it over.
If you like good interactive story lines, this one is for you. This one deviates from the norm of only evolving the story between missions. Here you get to see it unfold during the missions as well. Like good graphics, sound and blowing things up? Get this one.
P.S. I can't rate the multiplay side yet, no one seems to have the ba...ehum, I mean the time to go up against me yet.
