The Sims...
You will surely need a 12 step program after installing this game. I bought it on ebay. I got The sims and The sims' Livin' Large expansion pack off of Ebay. I paid $29.00 including shipping for the both of them. I would recommend buying them second hand since the games are so expensive. They just released a new expansion pack called "Hot Date" and from what I can tell, Sims purchases are on the rise and that means...more sales...more expensive.
The Game:
You get to create people, families and neighborhoods and run their lives for them. You get to choose their jobs, their boy or girl friends, and even their clothes. Your Sims people can have attitudes, be rich, adopt children, have children and even die. The can get it on with other sims, fight, and even have their kids sent off to military school. Oh, not to mention, a state worker can also come and take your baby away if it's neglected.
There is so much to do in this game. It is especially fun if you are the multi task type of person. you can run up to 8 lives at once. Thought your ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) would never come in handy, huh?
There are tons of web sites to get "Sims Stuff" from. If it's possible, borrow someone's Sims disc and buy the cheaper expansion pack (live livin' large or house party).
You only have to have the expansion pack in your CD ROM to play so you'd save a little money like that.
If you've ever played any of the sims games like sim city, sim tower, sim safari...etc...They are NOTHING compared to this game. If you want a game to take up a lot of spare time...This is the one.
You will need at least a 200 mhz processor (Pentium)...Even at that, you may get some lag in it. 266 mhz is way better (Pentium 2). (I have 200) I had to uninstall my sims because I went nuts and downloaded a TON of sims stuff off of peoples sites and my game would crash. This game even has cheats in it that you can find doing a regular search on your web browser. Good Luck, King...or Queen of Sims Land!
