This game is definitely ONE OF A KIND! It has really good graphics, sound, animation and tremendous control over the game. You literally live the lives of the Sims for them or you can just let them act on their merry own. The playability of this game is great, but with a little problem on that end. The game will, "NEVER END!"
I would think that most of you people have enough problems in your own lives to just come sit down and try to live some computer families lives and do everything for them. To tell you the truth, it's fun for a while, but then it gets old. It's sort of like a type of game that you would play for a few days then get tired of it and put it away and then about 3 months down the road have another urge for it.
Unless you have no life whatsoever and you find this kind of stuff fun, then and only then would you actually find this game fun. Building houses, sending the kids to school, telling the husband to get the newspaper....That just really doesn't grab me and make me feel like I am in the game. I feel more like a puppet master controlling Pinocchio.
There really isn't any major goal to strive for and there is no end to it. and some parts of it I just don't find realistic, such as the fact that the kids do not ever grow up! You could play this game for seven years and they would still look the same. To me, this so-called simulation needs some work and maybe some major goals and make it to where the person playing doesn't have to literally do just about everything, because that really gets annoying at times.
I have also noticed in the game that several times I would tell the Sim what to do and they would totally ignore my commands. Not a game for someone who loves living on the edge or tons of action. This is more of a game for a person with really no life so I would advise really on not getting this game because you just may end up in the morgue because it bored you to death.
