| RdStorm234's Full Review: Triple Play 2000 |
Over the last few years, the Triple Play series has been struggling greatly. The poor gameplay and graphics have made for lack of sale and put the idea into the mind of the Electronic Arts execs that, the game should be changed and soon. Triple Play 2000 is definitely one of the better games that EA Sports has came up with. With the great improvement of graphics, AI(Artificial Intelligence i.e. How well the computer plays against you), and gameplay, this game is sure to be a winner among die hard sports fans.
The game has four different modes in which you can play in:Exhibition(or Quick Play), Season, Playoffs, and Home Run Derby. Exhibiton is exactly as it says: you pick two teams and they play against each other. The Season option has been much improved from the last version of the game. You can manage any number of teams, pick the length of the season and games, create players, and trade players. You can also pick the level of difficulty that the computer plays at. The next mode is the Playoffs mode, where you only play the playoffs instead of the whole season. This is fun for people who hate playing the whole season. The Home Run Derby may be one of the most fun aspects of the game. You get to pick any number of players to compete in a home run derby against the computer or a friend that you want to prove to that you can beat them in a silly computer game ANY DAY.
The graphics have greatly improved as well, adding to the games good aspects. If you love baseball then get this game!
