randolf_g's Full Review: Fast Food Tycoon 2 for Windows
I'm pretty sure this game was a gift. It might've been something I bought, but if I had bought it, I know I've made a bad mistake. This game is addictive... for about one day, then you just get so bored of it you want to uninstall it and forget it ever existed.
Nothing about the game is right. The CD didn't even come in a CD case. It came in a paper CD holder. This may have been a mistake, but I never got instructions either. The tutorial on the CD is minimal and said to you by a guy with a heavy Italian accent. I had to hear them three times before I understood the game.
The game itself is simple... or at least that's what the back of the box says. The game is needlessly complicated. You are the one who has to make and run a bunch of pizza parlors. Even though it's called Fast Food Tycoon, you only deal with pizza. You are given tasks to do, such as make a certain amount of money in 2 days. Most of the tasks are really hard.
Budgeting makes no sense. On moment you have $500000, the next moment you have -$10000. You also have to upgrade and buy many things, which is almost impossible when your money keeps appearing and disappearing. As well, you have to hire people, and train them, and set their schedule- it is really boring.
Graphics are pretty good. They're cartoons, but good cartoons. The sound is bad. The only really cool part is how night and day both exist and people buy different pizzas at different times, and you can make your own pizzas with really wacky ingredients. It's a bad game. Don't buy it.
