| rabiddboy's Full Review: Bass Landing with Fishing Controller for PlayStati... |
This is by far the best bass fishing game I have ever played especially with the fishing controller. I am a big fan of the sport of bass fishing and this game quite accurately depicts the sport compared to other games I have played.
A very good aspect of the game is the fact that certain different lures will work at one time. Another strong aspect is that it resembles real life in many ways, such as the fact that if it is too hot or too cold the fish go deep, Along with the fact that when the water is good or if the fish are spawning they stay shallow. It seems to take many aspects of the sport and incorporate it into real life.
Another strong point of the game is the tutorial option. I actually used it to help me teach my girlfriend how to fish and it is a very good teacher.
The only bad part is that the game is unrealistic in the number and ease of catching fish. Although it's not TOO easy to catch fish to the point where the game is not a challenge, it is unrealistic. Although this aspect of the game does make it fun and can help to get non-fishermen more into the sport. You really need the controller with this game though because it adds a whole other dimension.
The only thing more the controller could do is actually let U feel the pull of a fish (it does vibrate though) and allow rod control without having to use the joystick (casting and setting the hook are done with the controller, everything else needs a joystick) There is no other game on the market which fixes these flaws and this is the best out of all the games there are.
