Yoshi-64's Full Review: Cool Boarders 3 for PlayStation 1
When I played Cool Boarders 3 for the first time I fill in love with it. The graphics aren't great but the gameplay is. This game is a must have, and it's only 20 dollars. Now allot of people think 1080 is the best snowboarding game. Yet I believe that this is because the tricks are so easy to do. For a trick in 1080 you would have to do ( Up C, Down B, A, A,) Yet you can do the same trick in Cool Boarders 3 and only do Up Triangle. ( Thats not a real trick only a example )
In the game you can choose between about 10 characters and get secret characters. Also each character is good at it's own thing. One can be better at tricks or one could be better at speed.
GamePlay: Wow, the game has lots of tricks to do. It would be a great game for people who like Tony Hawk. It's really simple and has tons of tricks and runs to go on. From the Half Pipe, to the jumps. Some race's. One really big jump. You name it! 9/10
Control: Simple, the tricks are really easy too do. Also it's easy to go down the hill in speed. The control is extremely smooth. Simple yet smooth. 10/10
Graphics: A down side not a that great in detail. The people and background all are really 3d yet you can see the snow on the ground moving around. The snow falling does'nt seem to fall straight. Also when you look far you can see the mountains and they look cartoon like. 5/10
Sound: The music is ok? People when they fall sound real bad. Nothing really but you won't really care. 6/10
