One day I decided to go to KB Toy Works since there was a huge buzz going on about Metal Gear Solid, and indeed it was nice tactical esponaige action. Well I went in there and I got a game fro my birthday I chose MGS but the stupid clerk guy kept pointing out it's rated M for mature but I got it anyway. So anyway I went home and plopped the game in and little did I know I was about to play one of the best games ever!

Well for starters I got stuck on the first level because when I went in the duck tunnel I didn't see the other opening and it actually took me a whole day to get passed the part....FINALLY.

Gameplay: The gameplay of this game is so smooth and smart you know it had to be a sequel to this game. I mean how many games do you know out there you can go behind someone and snap there neck? Very few. You can crawl and duck in this game and try not to be found which is the KEY part to this game DON'T GET SEEN but most of you won't listen like I did and have that red thing flashing non stop. I mean it actually feels like your in the game! I mean there is a lot of interactive stuff you can do in the game for instance spilling blood on your self and lieing down will have the guard come in there and see whats wrong but the AI is very smart because if they do see you in the act they will just laugh. There is limited weapons to choose from which is a minus but it's no big deal at all. All in all you will have to do a lot of running around ducking infrared lasers and just having a blast saving the world or die trying. 10/10

Graphix: Nice crisp graphix but the Playstation actually delivered for this type of game. Solid Snake looks pretty cool and the clips in the options section of him taking on the mission looked wild. Everything is mostly nicely detailed in the game and easy to make out and the cut scenes are the best around the gaming world, I hope they make a movie out of MGS one day. 8/10

Replay Value: Of course this game will have you playing it for another 4 or 5 times because at the end they total up all the times you got caught,saved games etc.Plus easy,normal or hard figures in also my first time beating it I got the stealth camoflauge which was ok but I just turned it off afterwards after playing it. 6/10

Sound: The sound is just incredible with the nice cool intro theme it starts off with and the voice overs are pretty awesome as there face changes expressions from time to time in the codec mode. It is also some funny stuff they say which will give you a few good laughes. 9/10

Overall: Metal Gear Solid is the best game ever made for the Playstation game console along with Final Fantasy 7, but if I had to pick I would say FF7 since it had 3 disks and was way longer to complete, and MGS was sort of short and I got it on a Friday and beat it on a Monday but Friday doesn't really count since it took until Saturday to get past the first level.MGS would make a great movie and from the beginning to end this game is pure genious and the sequel to the game well I havn't played it, but I heard some good and bad reviews about it, but thats most likely because nothing gets better than the original masterpiece. 10/10
