The first Playstation, in my book, will never have a better game for them. The first cut scene of Metal Gear had me all ready captivated. The story, graphics, and level of play are all great. This game was made a while back (I can't remember the system, if it was Nintendo or Sega) and let me say that they have made just a few changes (of course a better system to work with). I own a computer with many good games but, I still find myself going back from time to time and playing this game again (If I can get the game back from my 7 year old Nephew). This will keep anyone, at any age, wanting to keep playing for hours on end.

The story is a lot like other games. You are Snake (a special unit) sent in by yourself to stop terrorists from sending nukes to anywhere in the world they wish. It's the way the story is told throughout the game that makes it more interesting than all the rest. With lots of twists and turns in the story that will keep you wondering and interested all the way to the end. One of the best things is that it does have an in depth story but never have cut scenes that seem to go on forever as other games seem to do.

The graphics are simply awesome. With you being able to see you breathe in the cold and even your foot prints in the snow adds a nice touch. The Cut Scenes are some of the best I have ever seen for the Playstation (Not to take away anything from Final Fantasy). Great detail in, the way everyone moves, the buildings, and even with all the little things in the rooms you travel in.

The sound and music is also outstanding. Great voices used for all the characters makes it really nice to listen to. The gun sounds, grenades blowing up, and all the little sounds throughout the game are really nice as well. The music is some of the best I have ever heard in a game. I even ordered the CD from overseas. I think you will find it also pleasant to listen to.

The game play is really smooth and fluent. Must warn everyone that might think this game is just a kill everyone and win type of game that it is not. There are a lot more times where you will need stealth rather than brawn. You are actually awarded more for the least amount of terrorists that you kill during the game but there is plenty of times that you will have to kill for the type of player that wants to.

There is training missions in the game to practice on. I mention this because it is actually like a mini game inside the game. Lots of levels to each with each one getting harder and harder. They even made another Metal Gear game based on the training missions you will see in this game.

Another really nice feature they add is help inside the game. If you are stuck somewhere, not sure what to do, you can call people that are with you throughout the game for advice to help you out. Great for the younger players.

I strongly recommend this game for all Playstation owners of any age. This game will also be available for PC owners as well.
