| Niner_Blazer's Full Review: NBA Live 2000 for PlayStation 1 |
The NBA Live series has always been and still is the best out in the market. The graphics keep improving each year. NBA Live 2000 is no exception. Also, more features were added to this new version. The One-on-One feature is fun and improves your game. The Legends also add a little more fun to the game. You get to see the players in their ridiculous short shorts and their big fros. Dunk variety was increased, which was a needed change. I believe the best asset to the game is the ease of control of the players.
On the other hand, some changes made were not for the better. First, some reality was lost as the creators of the game went and redid some of what they did in NBA Live 98. Some of which included Bogues being able to block Tim Duncan. Also, players like Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, and Tim Duncan can dunk at will. The fact that as many as four defensive players are standing between the ball and the basket. Moreover, the stat feature does not cover as many stat categories as NBA Live 99.
As a whole, this is a great product. The drawbacks do not put much of a dent in the quality of the product compare to other basketball games out in the market. I recommend this product.
