In an age where players seem to care more about the millions they make than the sport itself, EA sports brings
to the table a whole new game of NBA live. This edition
of live puts a new meaning of attitude in a basketball
game. First off, graphics in this edition are awsome.
Everything from player jerseys and courts are modeled
exactly the way they are in real life. Player faces are
also modeled like there real life counter part. Even though
some of the players faces are uglier than they really
sopposed to be. Animations are also great. Dunks, cross overs,
spin moves etc. are done like the way they really are suppose to
be. You won't be seeing any better animations out of the
playstation any more in the future. The part where NBA Live99
really falls is when it comes to gameplay. If you are not too
familier with how controls work on a simulation basketball
game, then you might have a little trouble getting the
controls down at first, because there are a lot that you are
going to need to know. Also when it comes to stats, they
are not performed right, and they end up being skewed to your
statistics, and this kind of make you think that your back just
playing a game. Nevertheless, the game is a good game.
But it has a little to many flaws in it that it just makes
it good instead of great or maby excellence.
