res0lve's Full Review: NBA Live 99 for PlayStation 1
NBA Live 99. This game is excellent. When you think of what you could possibly want in a basketball game, I personally think of the following things:
Speed, I cannot stand when the players look like they are moving like robots.
Graphics. I like to see the individual players faces. I like to see the ball being crossed over perfectly.
Options. Especially in a sports game, I like the ability to become the coach as well as a player. I enjoy picking the plays, telling them to box out or taunt the man at the line.
And most importantly...dunks. I love slam dunks.
NBA Live has all of these. I love playing this game. NBA Live 2000 has come out but I did not purchase it. I rented it from Blockbuster and I don't think it has anything on NBA Live 99. I would definitley reccommend this game to anyone interested in purchasing a sports game for playstation. The best part is, you will get it for cheap because of the fact that Live 2000 came out. The only downside is that you must update the rosters upon buying the game (they are outdated because it is from the beginning of the 99 season). I give NBA Live 99 two thumbs up in all catagories.
