When I play the PS2 version, the game is a total mess. You got players that look 40+ years old, most of the players look the same, some I haven't even heard of...Just face it. This is one of 989's worst titles. Here's the low down.
Graphics 2
OK...this is self-explanitory. The players are basically stiff. C'mon now. And when you go up for a dunk, it doesnt look all that great. Small players such as the point guard on North Carolina, can dunk the ball with 2 hands while doing a 360. Umm...Am I lost?! 5'7", Dunking a 10 foot goal?!! This game needs some work. The shot is also ugly. Every player has the same shot and it never looks like its going in. The only cool aspect of this game is that when you call a time-out, some white and 1 black cheerleaders come out and perform for you. That is probably the best thing this game has in store for you. Bottom line, the graphics suck..
Gameplay 2
I coulda sworn there was a move that is very common in Basketball. Wasn't it called The Crossover? Anyway, where in the heck is that move?! Yeah, you gotta push that one button but it doesnt even do it. When you are on a fast break and you wanna do a spin move off your opponent, what does it do? It screws you up and they end up ripping the ball from you. Speaking of "RIPS", the steals in this game are terrible! Man, when you try to steal the ball, you have to s-l-o-w-l-y bend down and pick the ball up. Most likely you wont get it. I hate that! Now tell me what basketball player would go down slowly to recover the ball? Something else about this game is that you really cant do any modes like any other basketball game. There is only really exibition and season. Really this game sucks. NCAA GameBreaker 2001 was alot better. Read that review, for it gets 5 stars. (w/o)

Doesnt every College have their own music background? Whats up with this one? The sound wasnt all that good. Oh yea, I forgot to mention. If you put it on hard and still go up for a shot, do you think your gonna make it? Indeed. I'll tell you why. When you shoot the ball, there is this green block that you gotta try to land on in order to make it. At first I didnt know what I was doing but I soon caught on and I was making every shot I took. Even with the Centers!!! Just imagine Shaq shooting from beyond the ark. Whoa..

I really didnt like this game. My dad got it for me but from the back of the case, it looked pretty good. Opened it up, and horror came out. I only played this game 4 times throughout it's 2 year period. Thats ashame. And guess what, Basketball is my life. Ill get any basketball game if I had the chance but this game totally sucks. I havent played the game ever since.
What else is there to say? Dont be a dummy and buy the game....
