Quake II (Sony PlayStation 1, 1999)

Quake 2 for PSX is the best fragfest yet for the Playstation. My suggestion, ignore single player, as it takes a while for missions to get to be anything fun. Go straight to multiplayer, get 3 of your friends and your multitap and you will be set for hours. Crank up gamespeed and blast damage all the way, turn all weapons on, and with four people it is an instant bloodbath. A 4 player game could easily combine for 100 frags in 20 minutes. The weapons are of course sweet, aside from your wimpy blaster. The BFG is back along with the rocketlauncher, grenade launcher, railgun, shotgun and super shotgun, and the chaingun. Also featured are the mahinegun and, my favorite, the hyper blaster. The graphics arent quite as smooth as the PC but the environments are very nice, although you won't really notice until slow down enough to look (usually when you've been splattered onto the wall).
