Quake II (Sony PlayStation 1, 1999)

Please excuse the title but this game is BRILLIANT. I personally bought it only for the four player mode, but once I started the missions I could not stop.
The first thing that hits you are the graphics, then the gameplay and finally the music. It looks, feels and sounds excellent. I've been playing it on a 14inch screen and the 4-player is good even then, you could easily lose 3 hours of your day when your friends come round.
One of its main disadvantages is the amount of weapons. This is not very important though, as I think all the original ones are here, but you can get bored of them (apart from the hyperblaster and railgun in my case!)
