frainke's Full Review: Simcity 2000 for PlayStation 1
I just got the Sim City 2000 game about a week ago, I played it a few times. I am not happy with it at all. I am just guessing that it is me that can't seem to make this city thing work.
Here are the basics of this game:
First after you load it you can decide whether you want to see a simulation city like San Fransisco or the Bahama's. You can see what the example city looks like and how it works before you start on your own.
When your ready to start building you click the Load New City button then you get to name your town. The computer automatically loads the terrane for you and it's different every time you load a new city. After you get your land you scan the area and figure out where you want to start.
You build everything in your town that you would need to get it started. The sims build the homes, stores and factories. Well, after you lay your water pipes and set your electrical lines then problems set in. At least they do for me.
At this point, I have everything in tact and ready to go, my Sim's are moving in. My population grows, everybody is having a good time and then the next thing I know, I am having a water shortage or power outage. This has happend to me in every new city I have built and I don't know how to fix it and the book doesn't tell me neither.
After this happening a few times in a row, one gets a little fed up with the game. So if any of you have any idea's for me they are welcome!!
I have looked on the web for tip's and tricks for this game and there isn't much out there except how to make your Bonds at 0% interest. I think the site is www.cheaters.com (I THINK) Don't hold me to it if it's not.
Again, if any of you avid game players out there have any tips on how to manage my city without running out of water, please let me know!!
