Calypso14's Full Review: Twisted Metal 4 for PlayStation 1
Twisted Metal 4 is pretty much like most of the other twisted metal games in such ways like Rob Zombie threw in some tunes, some of the older characters, some new ones, better sounds ect.
Some of the better things about this one are that you can create your own car and choose the weapon and taunt, although all of these options are fairly limited. You can pick some cool colors for your vehicle but again these are limited. There are all new levels including I believe it is eight new deathmatch arenas that are grid type areas. The final battle is the hardest of all of them being as sweet tooth is in charge and has totally charged up his ice cream truck. Calypso is no longer in office and is competing with all the rest of the characters. Th egraphics are improved and the sound is better, with more things you can do with the arenas such as the first one(Construction yard) you can use the crane and dump people into fire filled pits. Also, as you save your progress on the memory card you have a rank that increases as you persist through the oncoming and endless enemies through the levels. I believe the highest rank you can recieve is immortal which I have right now(no cheats!!)
There is still the cheat menu which you can increase your odds of winning.
