bill_loggins's Full Review: Warzone 2100 for PlayStation 1
This is probably on of the better strategy games I've ever played. I'm a big Command and Conquer fan, and I have to say that Warzone2100 has made me forget about C&C. It's similar in a lot of ways, but better. To start, it is in a 3-d realm. You don't have to harvest anything, just build oil derricks and a power station. There's more weaponry such as wheeled, half-tracked, tracked, and hover ground units, cyborgs, and vtols. And you get to design every vehicle(i.e.-you select the body[which has different armor factors for each type],propulsion[wheels, tracks, vtol, etc.], and type of weapon system). The only problem there is you can only build according to what you have researched(yes, you have to build research facilities and research every piece of technology, and it's a slow process). It has one game campaign broken into three small campaigns with 32 total missions on 2 cd's. It also has a skirmish mode with ten maps(you can't create your own but you can download more among other stuff at warzone2100.com). It can also be played over the internet.
