Golfman470's Full Review: Xenogears for PlayStation 1
When I bought this game, I was a die-hard Final Fantasy fan. I then played this game and found it to be the best videogame I have ever played! This game takes you on Fei Fong Wong's quest to find the evil that destroyed his hometown and himself. Your quest leads you into discovering all the deep dark secrets of the planet. The plot of this game probably has more twists and turns in it than even Legend Of Dragoon! The graphics are not that great, but the CG's are all in Japanese Anime w/ voiceovers. The battle style of this game is similar to that of Chrono Cross, where you have weak, medium, and fierce attacks. The battles have pretty bad graphics and tend to be a little tedious after a while but are well worth the work. The sound is also not that good but you get used to it. Be warned of one thing, this game is fairly hard. If you struggled in Final Fantasy 8, you will not be able to get very far in this game without game shark. I myself had to enable it at one point. If you enjoy Squaresoft games this is one game you should never miss even if you have to pay 40 bucks for a used one.
