Pros: A deep, complex, intriguing, fantastic story. Not the same old type of RPG.
Cons: the anime parts need better voice over, cut scenes all over the place
The Bottom Line: You should try sincerely to understand the emotions, the complex story, the psychology of Fei. Then, when you beat the game, you have a certain kind of peace with Xenogears.

This game is unlike any other.
The story, for one, has no equal in any other RPG.
It is a game of good length (70-80 hours).
The fighting system is great, as well.
The gears fighting system has to be one of the best parts of the game as well
A note about this game:
Get an FAQ or walkthrough, but do not get one with story spoilers or if you do do not read them!! The bosses in this game can be very tricky, and in some parts of the game, you can get lost or go around in circles without consulting a walkthrough.
Also, try your very best to understand all the complexities in the storyline in this game. When you beat it you will feel a sense of completeness, there will be no need to play the game over and over to get all the secrets (they are not very important or useful anyway)
If you use cheats codes, thats a shame, if you beat the game the harder way youll feel a lot better.
Not just a love story, not just adventure, not just complex plot, not just mechas, not just funny, not just well made, but an excellent mix of all characteristics that make an RPG.
