Filazafer's Full Review: NASCAR 2001 for PlayStation 2
I, however, don't love Nascar and got a bit bored with this game. It is very fun with two people, not so fun with one. The graphics are good, but I think they could have been better with the PS2 capabilities. I didn't even try to play the simulation mode. As much as I hit the wall it's got to be arcade mode for me.
I can only say if you love Nascar you will love this game. I was not impressed and ended up driving backwards in a lot of the races just to have a little fun, but the crashes are not that good either. No flying parts or explosions. I expected so much more from this game.
The only EA Sports game that is really great so far is Madden 2001. I expect NBA Live 2001 will be the next good one. As for this one I can only say "if you have played one Nascar game you have played them all." The graphics get better, the gameplay does not. (X)
