| Pangloss's Full Review: Great River Road Golf Course |
I'm a very sporadic golfer, but I do enjoy Great River when I feel like golfing. The first nine holes are pleasant, with rolling hills and nice grass, and the ninth is a lot of fun. There's a big lake across it. You start on one side, and if you miss your ball goes in the water. The women's tee is on the far side of the lake, but I would recommend that women use the men's tee for that hole.
At the course you can rent golf carts or little push caddies with wheels to haul your clubs around. In the shop you can buy food and drinks or golf clubs, balls, or tees. They also have a driving range with buckets of balls that you can rent. And theres a practice green with about three holes on it if you finish early or you just want to brush up on your putting.
I've never golfed on the last nine holes, but I've heard that they are longer.
