Cons:Wait times at the tees.
The Bottom Line: Flushing Meadows Pitch & Putt Golf is a great outdoor experience for everyone of all ages. You don't have to be good to look good.
Flushing Meadows Pitch & Putt is the place to get your friends hooked on golf. This is a charming course that will build up confidence in your short game. The 1st and 9th holes are both 80 yards from the tee while the rest average between 40 and 65 yards. The rough is perfect for practicing your pitching and chipping. You won't find yourself pitching up or down any hills but many of the holes feature sand traps, plenty of trees and even a few water hazards...more for appearance than strategy. It will take roughly 2 hrs to complete the course on a busy day. Fortunately there is always someone driving up to the tees with a snack truck in the event you get thirsty or hungry. Last tee time is at 11pm...although the lighting could be better. Club rentals and balls are available at $1 each.
