I've used Gorilla glue products for years so it was not a surprise at all when I scooped up my first 2-pak of Gorilla Glue Super Glue some time early last year while we were doing a project at our Michigan State area condo.  I like the original Gorilla Glue and still regularly keep it in our home for a wide range of home uses. 

There are many times where the original glue product is just not right for the project.  The original Gorilla Glue dries white and expands, making it unusable on small projects or areas where the expanded glue may be noticeable.  Over the years we have used a wide variety of super glues by a number of manufacturers with pretty good results but I really wanted to try one by this company.

I had recently used up a tube of Loc-Tite super glue which is one brand I regularly purchased and always kept handy in our home.  Our first experience with this product went fairly well.  I was able to secure some rubber or plastic bumper pads on the cabinet doors.  Between the materials involved and the fact the pads were light and stayed in place while drying, I was more than happy with the result.

Since that first introduction to this product, we have had the opportunity to try this glue on a number of items around the house.  I have encountered a few issues worth mentioning upon further experience.  First, the manufacturer's directions state that the glued items should be held in place for 30 to 60 seconds.  This is nowhere near long enough for Gorilla Glue Super Glue to set in nearly every case.  This extended length of time makes this product somewhat harder to work with than the competition.  Secondly, while in some instances the bond is sufficiently tight, I don't feel the result is as strong as what I have witnessed of other choices including the Loc-Tite super glue.  I have found that this glue has difficulty adhering to any material with the least sheen or luster.  I do understand this in a general sense but from past experience, I would not have been as concerned when using other super glues on similar materials in the past.

We ended up leaving our original 2-pak at my daughter's place when we first tried this product so I ended up buying the larger 20 gram bottle which we are still using in our home.  Unlike some of the other brand super glues that end up drying out or at best drying and sealing the neck, this glue has not gummed up at all.  The glue product still comes out without any problems after doing nothing more than twisting the cap down firmly following each use.  I also like the larger bottle because the glue product is easier to dispense in the desired amount as opposed to these smaller tubes which are somewhat more difficult to use.

Similar to most of the other competitor's products, the resulting bonded area ends up drying clear and very hard to distinguish any residual glue.  We have even used this glue on a fairly translucent plastic surface with a likewise experience.
   
Like all the other super glues, this product will stick to your hands and dry there almost instantly.  Take great care when using this glue by wearing gloves or, at least, take precautions so as not to get any on your skin or it will be with you for days.

After using this product for a while, I have to say that I am a little disappointed.  The fact that this glue takes so long to dry and set makes it harder to work with on some occasions as opposed other super glues we have purchased in the past.  The eventual result is a solid bond but nothing better and maybe actually not even as strong as some of the other super glue on the market today.  We will end up keeping and using up the last of our Gorilla Glue Super Glue but I will most likely return to one of the others I have purchased in the past.  As far as my Epinions rating, how about three stars and I'll have to take a pass when asked whether I will probably not be sticking with nor would I feel the need to recommend a purchase.
