Pros: Inexpensive, amps up waves, hair is shiny and soft, no helmet hair, really works!
Cons: Seems to prolong the time it takes my hair to dry.
Note: The full name of this product is Got2b Kinkier Double Curling Power Amplify Curling Spray Gel.
My hair has always been straight but at age 47, I have waves. My whole family has curly hair so I shouldn't be shocked but it sure took a long time for me to "inherit" the curl gene. My hair is layered which also brings out the wave. I decided to see how my hair would look with its natural wave rather than to blow dry it straight so I picked up a few curling products, one of which was Got2b Kinkier Double Curling Power Amplify Curling Spray Gel. It rocks!
This spray gel comes in a 9 ounce pump bottle. The product is tinted light orange and smells good but nondescript and subtle.
After washing and towel drying my hair, I sprayed a generous amount of Kinkier under the layers and on top. I scrunched my hair and let it air dry, scrunching now and then as it did.
My hair felt slightly oily. I worried that this would weigh it down, not amplify my little waves. It took forever to dry too. It seemed my hair would never dry!
I continued to scrunch my hair then decided to finish the process. I used my blow dryer on the low setting. I lost my diffuser so I scrunched my hair with my hands and used the blow dryer as I normally would.
It took a while to dry even though I waited almost an hour for it to air dry. My hair felt very silky, not crunchy or hard. I didn't know what the outcome would be. When my hair was dry, I was amazed. I had waves! Lots of beachy waves. My hair wasn't stiff nor greasy. It was very shiny and looked really good.
I blasted it with some Got2be Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray and left it alone. The waves stayed in all day and night. Even after I slept, they remained. I sprayed a bit more Got2b Kinkier Spray Gel the next day and scrunched my hair a little to recharge the waves and my hair was good to go.
This washes out fine and hasn't caused my hair any damage. I have some Got2b Kinky mousse to try but right now, I'm happy with the wave I get and the texture of my hair. It's super soft yet the wave is locked in.
You can buy Got2b Kinkier Double Curling Power Amplify Curling Spray Gel at drugstores and mass-market stores on and offline. I bought mine at WalMart for under $5.00.
I'm impressed! My hair has only a BIT of wave and I have to really push it to get it to look wavy, not messy. Kinkier really helps amp up the wave and lock it in. Better yet, my hair is soft and shiny, not crunchy or stiff. Loving this stuff!
