I received this as a gift, and after using it once I had to return to the store and exchange it for a new one.

When I tried to take the blade parts off to clean the jar out properly, it was stuck! We tried everything we could think of to get it apart, but the black plastic part that holds the blade to the jar just wouldn't unscrew from the jar. I'm not sure if it was the way it got screwed on or what, but it was impossible. In the process of trying to unscrew it a piece of the jar broke off, the little bit that locks it in place on the base, so I gave up and took it back. I even emailed the company to ask for ideas to get it apart, and all they could suggest was returning it for a new one.
Now that I have my new one, I still have trouble unscrewing the blade parts from the jar each time i use it. I am very careful when i use it to not screw it on tightly, but then i'm afraid it may come apart during use.
It does work well, however, to blend and chop and even break up ice cubes. I do not use it often enough to make a big deal out of it, but if you plan to use it a lot, I would suggest another brand. Or just be extremely careful when putting it together.
More about the product:
It is a 10 speed blender with "PowerBlend" stainless steel blade and 450 watt motor. The base has cord storage which is convenient, and the plastic jar holds 6 cups. Since it's made to crush ice, it is generally good for frozen drinks, smoothies, shakes, slush, etc. They claim that the motor is designed to last 50% longer than other similar machines, and that the blades are removable for easy cleaning.
(If you can remove them after using it that is)
If you just want an inexpensive blender to make drinks with, go for it, cause I've seen it online for $30 or less, but I still wouldn't recommend it to a friend because of the difficulties I've had with mine.
