CNunn's Full Review: West Bend 58002 42-Cup Coffee Maker
The West Bend 12 to 42 Cup Large Capacity Coffemaker 58002 is the last coffemaker, I hope I ever have to buy. I have well water, which is very hard on coffee makers. I resorted to this particular coffee maker, about 1 month ago. As I am tired of buying a new pot every 3 months. I also get tired of making another pot. This way I figured I could make larger pot's of coffee, and the pot would not ruin so fast. Well so far so good!.......................................................................... My West Bend 12 to 42 Cup Large Capacity Coffeemaker 58002 is wonderful. It is made of Aluminum, very shinny. It has a plastic filter basket. You do not need to use coffee filters in it. However, on occasion I do. They make special coffee filters for this type of machine. It has a metal rod that goes from the base of the coffee pot, up through the basket, which the hot water goes through to make the coffee. It has a plastic lid that fits nicely, and locks under the handles. Yes, 2 big handles that you can easily pick it up by, to take it to the sink to clean it. 1 detachable cord, that is short. Easy flip top spout handle to flip to get your coffee, and 1 red light that comes on when the coffee is done............................................................................I usually make around 36 cups per day. That way, I have plenty of coffee, for who ever may filter through my house that day. The clean up is the easiest. Just take the basket and metal rod out. Detach the cord, and head for the sink. Soap and water is all it takes. This large pot does get hot, so use caution. The price is around $36.00. And, you can make from 12 to 42 cups. The Coffee is delicious. So far, the hard water has not phased this coffee maker. It also came in very useful, this holiday season.
