When my husband & I were looking for appliances for our new home I was very focused on a dishwasher that used less soap, less water and could be programmed to delayed start. I looked at Bosch and Kitchenaide, and the Fisher Pykel dish drawers. The final decision maker for me was the design of the F&P dish drawers. I loved the idea that I could wash one drawer at a time or both drawers at the same time on different settings.....in other words, I had the ability to wash dirty greasy pots and pans using the "Heavy" cycle in one drawer and in the other drawer I could was crystal and china sing the "Delicate" setting. My husband works a swing shift and is rarely home for dinner....with just a two year old and myself, we rarely have many dishes yet living in Arizona we seem to go through a lot of glasses every day....with the F&P dish drawers I can run just one drawer daily and always have our dishes and glasses clean and use less water and soap then in a regualr dishwasher.
Another feature I love is the pre dissolving of the dish soap as it is dispersed onto the dishes. The dispenser for the rinsing agent even has a small red light that comes on when the dispenser needs to be refilled. It was always a guessing game when to fill the rinsing agent on every other dishwasher I have every had. It is a very comfortable way to load dishes as the drawers extend all the way out for easy access. You can remove all the racks for very large pots or items that will not fit with the racks in. This is a very conveinent feature. I like standing up and looking down on the dishes rather then having to bend over and look into the dishwasher.
The design of F&P dish drawers is very sleek and stylish. I went with the stainless steel fronts to match my other appliances. F&P dish drawers are very functional and all the function selections are inside the drawers. F&P dish drawers have an econo setting for each function so you can save on even more energy. This machine is so quite you really do not even know it is running. I am love the fact that if I want more drawers later on I can add them as required.....in fact if I had known how much I was going to love the F&P dish drawers I could have done away with most of my kitchen cabinets and just installed dish drawers! Just imagine the possibilities!
