Simply put - it makes excellent espresso and cappuccino - and makes it so easily, that you will never regret this purchase. I have had mine for over a year and have had no problems with this machine. I previously owned a manual machine. It was so tedious that I rarely made cappuccino. The C1000 allows me to make it easily every morning and evening at the touch of a button. Highly recommended! Some tips on use: You can also try european style pressure brewed coffee by increasing the amount of water. I like the taste very much, but it is different from regular drip coffee. Although is claims you can brew up to 16 oz., it is too weak at this amount. For frothing, I found that using the frother in the down position froths a little too fast - the milk does not get hot enough for my taste. I froth with the frother in the up position (steam position) like I would with a traditional frother and get the best results. Also, it helps to pre-heat your cups to get very hot espresso (typical of any machine though). I use a rinse cycle in the cup to heat it and pour the water out before brewing.
