Pros: Cool-looking black, makes espresso
Cons: Doesn't make cappuccino very well
The Bottom Line: For the Krups brand, I expected a little more!

I was really excited about getting this for my wedding, because I was tired of spending $4 a pop at Starbucks. The first couple of times I used it, it was great. The milk foamed and frothed, the cappuccino delicious, and I was very happy. The unit is also easy to clean. The coffee grounds holder has a built-in brewing cup. There is a small flip handle that you can use immobilize this inner brewing cup to hold it to the outer cup to shake out used grounds. Very nice feature when it's still too hot for you to take out the inner cup by hand.
However, later on I began having trouble with the foamer sprout. I cleaned thoroughly per the instructions, and even spent an hour one afternoon trying out different ways to get it to work to no avail. It's at the service center now getting repaired. I am very disappointed that something of Krups reputation could design such a poor machine. I followed the brewing and cleaning processes very carefully, and I am upset that after only a few uses I had to take it in to get repaired.
