| eyesplice's Full Review: Krups Bravo Plus 872 Espresso Machine |
After happily using an older version of this machine for many years, my family decided it was time for an upgrade. They bought me a Krups Espremio FNP1 Espresso Maker which I ended up returning to the store. Still intent on replacing the trusty old Krups Il Primo, I bought this new model.
In about seven minutes, including clean up, I brew myself a delicious double cap exactly to my liking. It takes a bit of experimenting to determine the correct amount of espresso to put into the filter for the strength you like. You also need to figure out how much water to put into the water container for enough steam and espresso, but the glass carafe has measuring marks which are very helpful.
There is a bit of clean-up after steaming the milk, but basically all that is required is to wipe the steam nozzle clean, and I always run some steam through it when I am done to clean out the nozzle.
Occasionally, it is a good idea to take the steam nozzle apart and carefully clean it with a pin.
The instructions that come with the unit are very clear, if you have never used an espresso maker before.
Enjoy.
