You can do just about anything to this thing, and it still works beautifully! My kitchen wouldn't be the same without it. I use it for cookie dough, and other sticky heavy foods that I never could have done with a "cheapie" mixer.
I have gone through at least 5 hand mixers since I got married 6 years ago. This Kitchenaid will the last one I'll ever have to buy. I accidentally dropped a spoon into the bowl I was mixing in. The spoon got caught in the beaters, and I thought I was in trouble! The mixer got stuck, made a horrible grinding noise, and I just about cried. ;)
I turned it off, got the spoon out of there, and when I turned it back on it came right back to life without a problem. That was about a year ago, and it still works flawlessly. I use it frequently, too.

I love the colors. I got red to match the rest of my kitchen! Couldn't ask for a better appliance.
