Pros: Steams well
Cons: Very Poor Rowenta Service. Temperature dial breaks easily
The Bottom Line: Don't buy from Rowenta. They take your money then leave you high and dry when its time for efficient service.

| mailjbrown's Full Review: Rowenta Steam Generator DG050 Iron |
I purchased this steam generator iron in November 2001, the Temperature Control Dial on the iron broke in September. I called NY Service number - what a dumb person at the other end. It took 5 minutes for her to realize what a Steam Generator Iron is, then there was the argument over the model number - It seems that the "product Model Number" printed on the product warranty card is "unknown" to them. Then this person did not know what a "temperature control dial" is - she insisted that I give her the real name of the item.
Then when we got through with that, she wanted to charge me $9.95 for the dial plus $4.95 shipping. I asked about the warranty, she said send back the unit and we will fix it. I discussed with her the cost of packing and shipping both ways for a small plastic part worth pennies to manufacture, and told her it does not make sense to spend $20.00 on S&H, not to mention that I will be without my iron for God knows how long - with the inefficiency displayed by the so called Service Center, it might take months.
I got onto the Rowenta website and sent them a message on Nov. 7, they never answered! I tried to find their email address on their website so that I could email the company directly - I guess they don't want to be bothered with users as their email address is no where to be found.
