Pros: heats nicely, cooks well
Cons: Can't withstand pressure without shattering, Frigidaire customer service (at least in Canada) dreadful!
Before you buy a Frigidaire ceramic stove, know that the tops can break easily. My daughter leaned on mine and the top shattered. The stove is just three months old, and Frigidaire won't cover it under warranty because it's "customer-caused" breakage. When I asked why there was no warning in the manual that the stovetop could withstand no pressure, the service manager told me that the stovetop is glass, no different than a "glass tabletop" and no pressure should be applied to it. Unlike a glass table top, however, this glass top costs over $300 to replace--about 65% of the cost of the whole stove itself!
Thank goodness my daughter wasn't badly injured by the incredibly wicked shards of glass.
I strongly advise against buying the Frigidaire ceramic top stove!
