The Bottom Line: I recommend the Maytag Jetclean for anyone looking for a quiet dishwasher but can't or doesn't want to pay $800. This model works perfectly for quietness and cleaning ability.

I purchased the Maytag 9150AWW with stainless steel tub in February 2003 to replace a noisy whirlpool model. The position of our dishwasher in the kitchen is so that the noise is very distracting. I know, we could have run it at night, but that's not always practical, plus you have to remember to turn it on.
Well, all our problems were solved with this model. The Maytag has been a dream come true. It is both quiet and capable of delayed starts up to 9 hrs. This model is part of the Jetclean series. And the job it does cleaning is amazing. You can place dishes with dried on food into the dishwasher and select the "tough scrub" option and it cleans perfectly.
Running the dishwasher is very easy. You just press the option you like and after a couple of seconds it starts. If you want a delayed start, just press delay and cycle through the number of hours you want and your finished. The Jetclean also has a feature called "auto-clean" which supposedly detects the amount of "dirt" in the tub and adjusts cleaning.
The racks of the dishwasher are very thought-out and convenient. The bottom rack has fold down rails to allow for large bowls or pots. The top rack is deep enough for small plates, large plates have plenty of room in the bottom rack.
The silverware tray can be separated to hang on the side of the bottom rack or snapped together to be placed in the middle of the rack.
All and all, this has been a very good dishwasher.
