We have owned this dishwasher for almost four years now and we have had almost no problems with it. The old one that the house came with just was a piece of junk and would not clean dishes properly. In addition it could not sanitize. After looking around this seemed like the perfect option, and I havent regretted it one bit.
How it works.
This is your typical dual level dishwasher. Glasses and smaller articles go up top and plates, large bowls, cooking trays, and silverware go on the bottom. There are two silverware baskets with 1 large compartment and 2 smaller compartments in each. The baskets can be taken out to make it easier to load and unload them. Each small compartment can hold 3-4 pieces of silverware (more will fit but it will not get cleaned) and the large compartment will hold about twice as much since it is twice the size. We also use the larger compartment for baby bottle stuff, sipper cup parts, and other larger kitchen stuff. The large compartment has a porous lid for light things like the sipper cup parts. Sometimes I will put my OXO stuff in these holders instead of the top shelf.
The bottom compartment can hold the typical baking tray (on the left side only) so it is pretty tall. It will not fit my large cutting board but any small/medium cutting board will fit just fine. If something is too big you can always remove the top basket. There is room for 10 plates, 5 bowls, and one large bowl/pot. The top right quadrant has the option of holding 4 additional bowls or two pans instead of a large bowl/pot because of the ability of the prongs to change. A nice little feature.
The top compartment is your standard compartment for glasses. On the left side you can only put short glasses but I normally reserve that for my longer cooking tools (tongs, wooden spoons, etc.) The left side can accommodate normal drinking glasses or you can pull down an extra rack so you have two levels to put small objects/cups on.
About the jet dry feature
This is a nice feature I like. When fully filled it will last for several weeks depending on usage. You have three settings, min to max. To set you remove the jet dry fill cap and find the arrow on the bottom. You just move that to the setting you need. The lever to set the jet dry level is inside the depression that you pour the jet dry into. It will last for several weeks on min.
Settings
-Rinse only.
-Light wash.
-Medium wash.
-Heavy wash.
-Drain/off- drains then turns it off.
Main features
Delay- 2,4,or 6 hour delay. We use this all the time so it runs at night without disturbing us when we watch television in the evenings/nights.
Sanitize- An absolute must if you have a baby or if you need to sanitize certain equipment. I have actually tested the sanitization and I it appears to work perfectly. None of my canning jobs has ever been ruined because this feature did not work. It states that it is around 99.9% effective.
Heated dry- This dries the dishes quicker that they would otherwise. It does not do a perfect job but it does work well.
Lock- Locks the control pad to prevent inadvertent usage (keeps children from playing with it.)
What do they not recommend putting in here?

Gold plated

Noise
The salesman at BestBuy said that it is very quiet and that you would not hear it in the next room. Well he was wrong about not hearing it in the next room. I can hear it clearly in the next room. But the noise level is nothing to complain about. I cant hear it in the other side of the house where we sleep so it isnt a big deal. It also does not bother me when we watch the nightly news (or other similar programming.) We also will run it during the day when the kids are playing or watching television. I will not run it if I am watching a movie at night though, gotta keep the mood. In summary it makes noise but it is very low compared to the average dishwasher, but there are quieter dishwashers out there.
Do you need to wash the dishes before putting them in?
Why own a dishwasher then? It has some sort of grinding unit so you do not have to wash the dishes. I do not recommend putting a large bowl filled with food but we have not had any problems with putting food-covered dishes.
Materials
The interior is stainless steel. This is not only easier to clean and more durable, but it retains heat better so you have hotter water. The panel and front are plastic. We got white but there are other colors available.
What has not been cleaned properly?
Some spoons with heavily stuck foods. If you overstuff the silverware baskets or have a large dish in the way then you may not have them cleaned properly. It is an awesome cleaning machine if you stack dishes/silverware properly. I have had no significant problems on either the top and bottom racks.
What have I damaged using this dishwasher?
The first thing that got damaged was a plastic spoon. It was not properly positioned and fell to the bottom of the washer. The heating elements melted part of the handle. Other than that is has not damaged anything else that was dishwasher safe.
Ergonomics and ease of use.
There is nothing special here. The handle is average as are the baskets. The really nice thing is the buttons are just bumps in the front of the unit. No levers or anything. You also do not have a manual lock, just a button.
Who is this for?
The average family.
People that need a sanitize feature.
If you can a lot.
Cleaning
The inside needs no maintenance. The outside just needs to be wiped down or occasionally scrubbed with a household cleaning agent.
Durability
So far durability is great. I only have one problem (see below) but so far nothing else has really broken. A good product.
Problems
The only problem I have had is the brackets that hold in the top basket have come off. This just means that we need to be careful when sliding the top basket. I have had no problems other than that. No wear on the baskets, no wear on the stainless steel, and no wear on the outside front. I am sure we can buy the part if we looked online.
What I like.
-Sanitize feature works well.
-Do not have to pre-wash dishes.
-Timer.
-Relatively quiet.
-Looks good.
What I do not like.
The top basket had a bracket missing.
Summary
This is a permanently installed dishwasher. It is of the normal dimensions and should fit in most homes. In addition to being reliable it has all the features a family would need. The sanitize mode is my favorite because it make canning a lot easier. In addition I used it to sanitize my baby bottles and sipper cups. The only issue is two brackets have come off the top basket. It has not failed to clean our plates and cookware as long as they were stacked properly. I highly recommend this product.
