Well after our old GE Dishwasher died it was time to buy new, YES!
We asked the applliance man what was the best he said Kitchne Aid and Whirlpool but kithcen will clog more due to some filter problem? I don't know, anyway we got the top of the line Whirlpool GU1500XTLT and put or kitchen wood panels over the front, it blends right in! Anyway now for Performance and features!
PERFORMANCE!
This dishwasher can be packed with tons of dirty dishes with lots of food on them and everything comes out clean, honestly I don't know how it does it, it seems impossible!
Features!
The Dishwasher has many cycles and then options you can add to them, I put all of the dishes in the great racks which on the upper rack the tines fold down and the enitre rack goes up and down to accomodtae FULL SIZE DINNER PALTES STANDING UP IN THE TOP RACK! In my opinion the top rack is no longer just for cups and glasses! The cycles include Antibacterial Pots and Pans Norma China Crystal Quick Wash and Rinse only. The options are SOak and Scour Hit temp Scour Sani Rinse and Air dry, it also has a control lock which is great if you have young kids because all it takes to start this dishwasher is the press of 1 BUTTON just ONE! and Bang its going. And it is QUIET whne the water is pumping out I actually think it shut off its so quiet. The was h is just a slight humm and water sound. It also features a great adjustable Rinse aid dispenser so that if your dishes are coming out spotty you can up the amount of rinse aid that goes in and when the rinse aid runs low a light comes on to tell you. There is no need to pre rinse anything, what I do is take a fork scrape everythig off the plate into the garbage disposal and put it in. And don't go nuts scraping just most of the big particles! The detergent I use is Cascade Complete Gel and Cascade Rinse Aud! hirlpool Recommneds Cascade!

Antibacterial Great for a big load of lots of dishes that you want to be steralized!
Pots and Pans Great for dirty pots and pans
Normal For everyday full loads
China Crystal Great because during the dry the heat cycles on and off and it does a gentl wash good for itmes you worry about!
Quick Wash washes lightly soiled or very small loads!
Rinse only Obviously just to rinse them
OPTIONS!
Soak and Scour Fills dishwasher with water and sprayts dishes for 1 minute every 15 minute for 4 hours drains out that water and then washes with the selected cycle great for baked on things and burnt on pans and pots takes the place of soaking overnight in the sink!
Hit temp Scour Great for dirty dirty dishes, really big loads it raises the temp of the water so that things are assured to come super clean
Sani Rinse great to add to most cycles, in the final rinse it raises the water temperture to 160 for ten minutes and kills virtually all bacteria! Great for when company eats over or the dogs bowls are in the dishwasher!
Air dry of course air drys the dishes!
The story of the stained interior is that one day I was doing a big cooking, loaded it all up and put it on a pots and pans with a soak and scour the next morning I opend it up and the entire inside of my new dishwasher was RED! Well I almost died! Ran to the store and bought Cascade Palstic Booster ANd ran it through an empty dishwasher, I eventually learned that the red pasta sauce that I had made was in the pot I put in and stained the inside thank goodness for the great plastic booster it all came out and looked great! Now before I wash anyhintg with red on it I rinse it off quickly first!
Other than that it is a great machine and I have had no problems with it yet! If price is no issue or your sick of dirty dishes get this dishwaser!
