matthews6599's Full Review: Sharp R-230 800 Watts Microwave Oven
When our last one broke we got this one and I thought we wouldnt need that big of one, boy was I wrong. This one wont fit a bag of popcorn and turn. You never know you love something till it's gone. I swear the week I went without one, I went insane. It's perfect to do plates of food and bowls of veggies. It's quiet and I've never had any mechanical problems with it. When we took it out of the box and put it on the counter, I pushed back on the door part and it put a hole in the front plastic see through cover. It doesn't affect the cooking or anything but still. I pushed it back on a clean counter and it cracked. It's very easy to use, not confusing at all. My 7 year old can cook potpies, reheat leftovers and knows how to use all the buttons. It has a defrost, timer and cook button. The Timer comes in handy when I'm baking. Maybe all microwaves have them and I never noticed but it's neat. I have the black one which I love, it doesnt show as much dirt. I'm slowely converting everything else to a darker color. It heats great and heats even. The plate still rotates and it's very easy to clean. Like i sad the only complaint i have is I can't cook popcorn in it, it burns. Perfect for a smaller family or single people but not a big family. My old one would hold a pizza box. I figured we didnt need one that big but now i miss it. It's a great brand to go with , reliable and it's been hauled back and forth to camp a few times. You do need to use your vaccum attachments to clean underneath it, I didnt know that's where the fan was.
