Rainbows are sold the old fashion way door-to-door, salesman give a presentation or demonstration of the product and then go in for the kill.

I did notice you can purchase rebuilt Rainbows on the internet for a big price cut.

The e series cleans with water to trap dust while you clean. When you vacuum with a hoover or dirt devil it has a bag and dust will fly and you must dust afterwards, with the Rainbow it is not necessary to dust. Most of the dust is trapped in the water basin. You can check the level of dust in the air by using a light bulb without a shade. You really will see less dust flying around.

Once you are finished vacuuming, run the Rainbow without any attachments as an air purifier and then check the water you will see the dust particles in the water.

The Rainbow also works as an air purifier and deodorizer, just fill up the water basin and add your favorite scent or Rainbow deodorizer and let run for 15 minutes and the house smells fresh.

With The Rainbow you will receive a cord caddy, dolly latch for the Rainbow to sit on while in use with wheels, attachment caddy that fits on the Rainbow so the small attachments are within arms reach. There is a large caddy for the additional attachments.

The Rainbow e series is cool lookin, but heavy to move and awkward. It is about 20 inches high and round like a canister and very loud, it does have an exhaust vent which was described to me as something like a muffler. It's loud.
The Rainbow must be separated, the water basin must be removed and cleaned after every use.

There are several attachments that make cleaning house easier, but they take longer to assemble and clean-up afterwards. I do feel my house is cleaner.

There are three separate extension tools called wands to reach places high, low or just difficult to get at. By attaching one of your attachments to the end of the wand you can do corners, ceilings, vents, cats or clothes. You can even blow up balloons or a small swimming pool.

You will receive the floor and wall brush, dusting brush and upholstery tool, inflator pin and body, crevic tool, an e series hose and power nozzle. I have used them all and am pleased with the outcome.

The Rainbow is a wet and dry pick-up. It has a separate hose for wet pick-up. There is a power nozzle, this is for dry pick-up. The nozzle is an electrified hose with its own motor. It will not turn on unless you push the switch actuator and the latches have been secured on the canister.
This is for your carpets and bare floors.

The Demonstration was complete the salesman and his son stayed at my house for 3 hours. After purchase the son gave a step-by-step presentation on the use of each attachment and care of the Rainbow. I felt at ease, it is a simple machine to operate.

It cleans well and you can see everything you are picking up. It comes with 2 owner manuals one for assembly, proper care and safety instructions. Included is a four year warranty on all parts. I will find out how good their customer service and warranty is, I have a call into them.

I purchased my rainbow on Monday May 14th of 2001. The next day my house was spotless and smelling fresh. On Wed., I wanted to just do my regular vacuuming and the canister engine failed to operate. I tried all the suggestions in the owners manual, but it still didn't work so, I put a call into my distributor and am patiently waiting.

I really like how it looks, modern and it cleans very well.
