Rainbow e-series
Full-size canister
We had an extremely bad storm last week and I had volunteered to help clean up the homes that were damaged. One of the volunteering jobs I took was helping clean inside houses for the elderly. Instead of lugging around my vacuum, one of the women loaned me her vacuum, the vacuum was the Rainbow e-series.
After a week of using this series, I have come to the conclusion, that I will never purchase it. It looks nice, the whole concept sounds great, but when it comes right down to it, for real cleaning it is worthless.
The Features:
29 pounds, a bit awkward to lug around.
24 ft cord. ( a nice long length)
HEPA filter
Manual rug pile height adjustment
Clean exhaust
Usage of water for filtering dust.
Loads of tools: uphostery, dusting, wall and floor, crevice
Attachment caddy
three year full warranty from manufacturer
My Complaints
Lacks headlamp
Doesn't clean bare floor as well as cheaper models
Expensive
Poor edge cleaner
Heavy, bulky and difficult to handle because dirt is collected in a container filled with water instead of bag.
Somewhat difficult to push and maneuver
Somewhat difficult to change tools
Power cord doesn't retract and hard to wrap and release.
Not stable on stairs.
It doesn't clean as well as I had hoped it would, more of an inconvenience then a helpful instrument.
When I found out the price, I couldn't believe someone would spend that kind of money on a vacuum.
I think I will stick to my cheaper vacuum, my Sharp EC-TC2860 which was under 300.00
