Pros: Beautiful embroidery work, easy to thread, perfect little workhorse.
Cons: None so far.
As you all will find out,I research a great deal before i even considering buying any kind of machine.
I had read reviews on all types of embroidery and combination sewing/embroidery machines.
I wasn't real comfortable with purchasing a combo machine so i decided to look at embroidery only machines.
I knew that i didn't need a large area type machine for embroidery so i started my search.I came across quite a few machines before finally deciding on the SE3.
At first the three sizes of hoops plus the added font card kinda turned head towards the SE3.Also the many pre-programmed designs was a plus also.
This machine was an on-line order also,so when it arrived i put it through the test,I have never had one problem with this machine.I have embroidered about a 1,000 designs so far and this machine just keeps on working like brand new.
This embroidery machine is right up there with all of the high end machines I looked at(a lot even looked like it).
The SE3 has an easy led touch screen for reverse, forward, repositioning a design and doing a layout of the design. It also has a enlarge/reduce option on many designs, this has really come in handy with doing the fonts included with the machine.
It has a very helpful section on troubleshooting that is also touch screen.
It also has a trial option on the layout screen that shows you the area that will be used to embroider a design.you can mirror image a design, rotate a design and choose to center or offset a design. On the help screen you can go forward or backwards with your embroidery stitches, this comes very helpful when your thread has run out and you where away from the project. When the thread runs out ,be it in the bobbin or the top thread the SE3 will automatically stop.
Including with the purchase of the SE3 embroidery machine was a very helpful how to video that went through all the steps of how the machine worked.I found this very helpful at first due to the fact i was new at machine embroidery and had to refer back to the video to see how i needed to do set-ups and troubleshooting through any problems that might arise.
The SE3 also comes with a memory storage capability that i have found extremely useful when working with the fonts.....all you have to do is put it on a card. All my projects have my trade name on them (craftyboi). All i do is pop in the card and they are there. This option was also very convenient when embroidery sentences.
The SE3 has a stop and start button that is easy and quick, also the automatic needle threader is a must. All my machines have needle threaders now.....but the SE3 has the best of them by far...a very well made machine.
