My little brother took a summer job with a company selling these miracles of the vacuum world after my dad read an ad in the local paper. The ad exclaimed big time $$$ which beat working at a fast-food joint so my brother tried it out. It sounded too good to be true...Let's just say the business was run by sloths and weasels. My brother quit along with everyone else from his training session. That aside, the product is amazing. I sat through one of my brother's 2-hour presentations, and I was thoroughly convinced that if the Filter Queen Majestic hadn't cost almost two grand I would have bought one instantly.
Think your apartment/house is clean?! This product will make you think twice. The vacuum inside the main casing is extremely fast and efficient. The vacuum's extensions are built to form a tight seal with carpeting/furniture/drapes. Thus, it suctions out more dirt than you can believe exists. According to my brother, most ordinary vacuum cleaners grind more dirt into the carpet than actually clean it. Only 40-60% of carpet dirt is picked up and almost half of that gets thrown back into the air due to loose seals on the vacuum bag, etc. A lot of what winds up in your vacuum bag is carpet fibers...hmmmmmm. My brother showed me the difference between my vacuum cleaner's ability and the Queen Majestic's by dousing the floor with baby powder. After using my vacuum on the rug, everything "looked" clean. Then he used the Queen Majestic...and WOW...not even close!!! It picked up all kinds of unseen dirt and grime above and beyond the baby powder.
The Queen Majestic also works as an air filter device. You can put a filter into the main vacuum casing and turn it on one of three levels of air circulation, and it will draw dirt and gunk out of the air. Even on the "LOW" setting, however, the machine sounded extremely loud at first, but my brother kept talking and after a while I didn't even notice that it was running (which he pointed out to me). You get used to it in other words.
The overall quality of this machine is terrific. It really helps to cut down on the dirt in your apartment/house and, therefore, helps alleviate problems with allergies, etc. It comes with a lifetime warranty (at least the ones my brother was selling), and the product itself is extremely durable. However, you do have to buy filters for the machine about once every other month. The cost is about $50 a bag.
Personally, I think the Filter Queen Majestic is incredible. I just can't afford to buy one. Maybe they will come down in price soon. Until then, I'll have to rely on my Hoover.
