Pros: excellent suction, lasts forever
We bought our Kirby Heritage II system in 1984. It is a great vacuum. We have only taken it to the repair shop twice. We have a few problems the mini emptor in stuck and the front bearings are going out. But these are the only real problems we have had. I am really hard on vacuums. We live on a farm so it gets really dirty. This thing can suck anything up and it just keeps on running. We bought a Hoover Dimension While it is an okay vacuum it has a very poor design. We got the Kirby from the garage. We put a new bag in and it was ready to go. It is amazing how much stuff it picks up. The Hoover was put in the closet. The vacuums tends to go through belt fast. They are hard to put on. Changing the carpet head to the hose is a challenge but it isn't that hard. We wish we would have gotten more tools but they are expensive. But this is a great vacuum and if you can find one buy it. The new ones sell for 1300 or more.My grandma owns a G3 she likes it. She bought every option available. We like our Kirby a lot and will never give it away.
