Below is a copy of an email I sent to Equator. For those of you thinking of buying an Equator brand anything, please deliberate carefully. And rest assured that several of the "good" reviews found here were written by the company themselves as damage control. That said, before you buy Equator-whatever, try an experiment. Open the phonebook to repair centers. Call any/all of them and ask if they service your future machine. If they say no, you may be interested to ask why. If they have an answer, it will surely be THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS THE WORST, EVER, period. Please read my email below to get a sense of my extreme dissatisfaction. Let me preface by saying I have never actually taken the time to write one of these reviews, no matter how much I didn't like my product. Equator has managed to break that.

Minus perhaps your most recent email, the service
agents you suggest are either (1)unwilling to repair
an Equator brand anything or are (2)non-existent. In
regard to both the first and second, I do not
appreciate taking away time from my job to call
disconnected phone lines and to find out your sources
are unverified. In regard to only the former, your
company has managed to somewhat adeptly create a
reputation for supremely deficient customer support
and somewhat less deficient products. Other makes of
combo washer/dryers are happily serviced by many of
the service agents I spoke with. The machines
themselves are statedly not the problem: your
technical service and parts divisions have an
unfallable reputation for extreme disservice. In
addition to their perceptions and my own, hundreds of
online reviews and forums all carry one common theme:
your service is terrible. I am writing this to help
initiate a change in your company. I will tell anyone
who is willing to listen to never buy a product from
your company until thorough changes are enacted. I
have managed to find my own service repair agent since
none of the suggested agents were viable, so I need no
more suggestions from your customer service. Happily,
he will be fixing my machine by NOT using Equator
brand parts. And as soon as it is fixed, I will be
glad to have sold it.
