| pickm's Full Review: Equator EZ 3600 CEE Front Load All-in-One Washer /... |
Equator Energy Efficient Ventless Clothes Processor EZ 3600CEE
All was well until the discharge pump impeller had a debris block.
Initially I call around for someone to fix the Machine. Lowes, a listed distributor, didn't have a clue of what to do.
Sears said no. The largest appliance repair shop around said no.
So I opened the back of the machine and lucked on to the impeller of the water discharge pump that was locked up. A firm twist backward cleared the obstruction. Now it works, but the pump is noisy when it is pumping a dry line.
The unit seems to work well, taking a lot of time to do a wash, especially the dry cycle. The ventless dry cycle is continually cycling the discharge pump. The pump on our machine has well used loose bearings that rattle a lot on an empty discharge line.
The 1000 rpm spin cycle at the last dry cycle shakes violently if the load is unbalanced. You need a solid concrete floor to damp some of the shaking. Our house floor is pier and beam so the walls and ceiling seem to resonate the shaking. There are eight sheet rock nails working out. Four nails are over a quarter inch out.
I was surprised to find what looked like a 50 pound concrete block counter weight inside the machine to dampen the shaking of the spin cycle.
Equator is a good choice for two old folks, but probably not adequate for an active family.
Locating a repair shop in your area before you buy may be wise before purchasing.
