We just got our new washer, washed a few loads, and it works great! It has tons of features, can wash just about everything in one load, and the clothes are so dry when they come out the dryer doesn't need to do any work.
This washer is one of the basic Kenmore front loaders but it still has many features. Here they are: the extra rinse feature is really nice for us because we don't use H.E.detergent and extra soap stays in the clothes, the automatic temperature control makes sure you get the max use from your detergent, a extremely large capacity cuts the amount of loads that we wash in a week in about a half, a high final spin speed (1050 rpms)makes clothes extremely dry when they hit the dryer, and three different cycles.
The results: Before this washer we had one that was somewhere around 35 years old. So this washer seems like it is perfect. It does so well that you don't need to pre-treat stains. The three rinses gets out all the soap and extra dirt.
The washer and matching dryer were built relatively small which conserves lots of space. They are also stackable to provide even more room. We have our machines stacked. The directions and steps to stacking them are a bit difficult but we did by ourselves in about an afternoon.
Out of all the things I explained efficiency is probably the biggest bonus about this washer. When I first got I didn't think there was enough water in there. Maybe the level sensor has already went bad. I stopped the washer, opened the door, and moved the clothes so I could see the bottom. Only an inch of water! Something had to be wrong. When the clothes got done they were cleaner than with the other one. Unbelievable!
