Pros: A superior level of quality and performance
Cons: My fingers are still getting used to the sharp undersides of the cooking grids
The Bottom Line: This is the best grill you can buy for the money. Don't be without this Weber for a second longer than you have to.

| analyst7's Full Review: Weber-Stephen Products Genesis Gold C Premium (LP)... |
This is my first Weber. I spent years grilling on store brands and was comfortable replacing reasonably affordable grills after a few years of service. When my local hardware store offered free assembly, free delivery and a free tank of propane with any Weber purchase, I bit the bullet and purchased a Weber Gold "C." I wanted stainless all the way around, and I wanted a side burner. I opted for the propane version since I live in earthquake-prone Southern California, and I wanted an independent cooking source should we ever be without utilities for any reason.
Where has this grill been all my life? The level of components, build and performance quality of this Weber is akin to hearing that satisfying "chuk" of a car door closing on a high-end Mercedes compared to the klink of a Hyundai. The lid is heavy, double-walled stainless - just beautiful. The burner knobs control the stainless burners perfectly. My first dinner - pork spareribs - came out beautifully. There was plenty of room for me to grill seven slabs of ribs and corn on the cob on the side - the surface area is bigger than you think. The juicy tender slabs were of restaurant quality - a good restaurant. Am I complimenting my own cooking? Yes! I am a good cook. Has this grill made my cooking better? Absolutely!
This grill operates as much like a high-grade convection oven as it does a searing machine. You have confidence that temperature is being maintained, that there are no unplanned hot or cold spots. While this grill costs about twice what a decent store-grade grill would cost, the leap in quality is truly unmeasurable. You can pay four times as much for a high end 100% stainless model from another brand with admittedly more bells and whistles, but I doubt you can surpass the basic grilling/bbqing quality of this Weber. And it looks beautiful on our patio.
Trust me, I was always skeptical about paying the premium for a Weber - I felt I would be paying mostly for its brand name and getting little in the way of meaningful improvement vs., say, a Charbroil. But I was wrong, and I'm totally a convert to the House of Weber.
My complaints are few - Since this is the first Weber I have owned, I haven't "grasped" completely how to lift the cooking grids off the grill without nearly cutting my fingers on the sharp underside of the "half-moon" grid surfaces. I wish Weber had provided true bar-type grids with its grills. Also, while the stainless steel flavorizers and cooking grids are designed for durability, they will lose their silvery appearance due to heat transfer. I also don't find them any easier to clean than porcelainized cast iron.
Overall, though, I have alot of lost Weber grilling time to make up for. Do not hesitate to buy this grill, or any of the Weber grills with at least three burners (I believe you need that to really nail indirect cooking). Buy yourself a cast-iron wood smoker box for added flavor, and you're in grilling heaven.
