I've been disappointed with my Weber (Reply to this comment)

I wrote a review a while back on the Jenn Air grill which did an excellent job on cooking but I downgraded the grill A LOT because it cost about $800 and it was flimsy stainless steel case, one of the burners didn't work, some other cheap things about the grill AND also that the only thing Jenn Air about it was the name. It wasn't designed or built by Jenn Air...but you can check on my review of that for more information.
I returned that and bought a Weber gas grill. My Genesis has 3 burners. I have never been happy with this grill because it never seems to get hot enough. The flames are supposed to be blue with yellow/orange peaks. They never have been and (no pun intended)I've gone blue in the face trying to follow the directions to get these adjusted.
I would rate the cooking ability of this grill as 'fair' but well below what I expected from Weber.
I may also be in the minority, but I like flareups because they give the food a more charcoal grilled taste. The 'flavor bars' that prevent those flareups also, in my opinion, prevent the grill from imparting the really good grilled taste.
You are right, propane not will beat the taste of a good charcoal grilled steak or hamburger, but I expected more out of MY Weber! :-(
